A spectacular morning in North Wales at the Lone Tree on Llyn Padarn.
I'd actually planned to go to another location on this particular morning - the Fairy Glen in Betws-y-Coed, but after checking the weather forecast before I went to bed I decided I had to come here instead.
The forecast said there would be hardly any winds and some cloud - perfect for a photography session at the Lone Tree I thought - and it's a place I'd only been to once before, on a bit of a recce, so I knew the location and what I wanted compositionally - here's the result in a striking monochrome rendering!
